8 Foods You Must Try in Thailand

8 Foods You Must Try in Thailand

If the only thing that interests you about Thailand is the food, it would be a trip worth taking. There is so much incredible food in Thailand. Noodles, curries, meat sticks, desserts, the list goes on and on. In Thailand you will find foods from all different cuisines, but this is my bucket list of my favorite Thai foods you must eat in Thailand!

1. Pad Thai

DUH! You can’t go to Thailand without consuming your weight in street vendor Pad Thai! You’ll notice that the Pad Thai is different in different regions of Thailand, but it’s all amazing!

2. Banana Pancake with Nutella

My new favorite food! Roti dough, stretched, fried, and folded into a banana filled pocket, and finished off with Nutella. Amazing.

3. Khao Soi

Chiang Mai is famous for its Khao Soi. It is made with boiled egg noodles, a coconut milk, curry  sauce, with meat, and fried egg noodles on top. It’s like a hybrid of a bunch of different Thai dishes and it’s delicious.

4. Pineapple fried rice with shrimp

Nothing says island life like fruit infused dinners, am I right? Seriously though, you have to try this.

5. Soup!

Coconut milk soup, soup with pork, soup with seafood, soup with chicken, all the soup!

6. Meat sticks!

You can never go wrong with a meat stick. Trust me.

7. Mango Sticky Rice

The thought of dessert rice made me uncomfortable...until I tried it! Mango sticky rice is a dessert staple in Thailand and it is equally delicious and unique.

8. Curry

Red curry, green curry, massaman curry, pick your poison. My personal favorite is the green curry, it’s spicy but not like the red curry. If you want some serious heat order the red curry, but if that’s not your thing, stay away from anything red! You have been warned!!
