In Melbourne, we have a plethora of Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, however, we have been seriously lacking in independent coffee shops. Finally, our small town is beginning to grow and we are getting some new spots to get our caffeine buzz on. Here are 4 independent coffee shops in Melbourne, Florida (that all have wifi) and what makes each one unique.
Indialantic Coffee
Indialantic Coffee is our newest addition to local coffee shops! Located off 5th Ave. by the boardwalk beach, Indialantic Coffee also has bagels and pastries, and red bull spritzers. So even if coffee isn’t quite your thing, you can still get your caffeine fix here.
The Sun Shoppe Cafe
This is Melbourne’s OG coffee shop. Located in downtown Melbourne, the Sun Shoppe Cafe has been around for as long as I can remember. You can always count on the Sun Shoppe for coffee, wifi, and good food. They close on Sunday though so keep that in mind!
Anaya
Anaya is located in the Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD). The coffee here is spot on and they have a creative menu featuring something different for breakfast and lunch every day. You can check their Facebook for the daily special or just show up and be surprised. The cafe is small, but the patio out back is where it’s at.
Apocalypse
What was once a music store, and then Open Mikes Coffee Lounge, is now Apocalypse Coffee! They also have a little vintage store inside called Lemonhead Vintage. It’s a great place to come get some work done or to just come and hang out. They also have a really good food menu! (This one is my favorite on the list!)
The 905 Cafe
Also located in Downtown Melbourne, the 905 Cafe serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and coffee. They have a wide range of coffee flavors and different featured drinks. It’s a cute cafe with eclectic decor and a homey feel. 10/10 would recommend. Order the apple, walnut, brie sandwich for lunch and thank me later.
